Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)

The Supreme Court has made a decision on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), a policy offering work authorization and protection from deportation to hundreds of thousands of immigrants who came to the United States many years ago as children. The court ruled that the Trump administration’s termination of DACA was unlawful, arbitrary and capricious and that the administration needs to follow the legal steps to obtain path for the administration to end DACA. Meanwhile, the DACA program remains intact and valid. The people who still qualify to apply can do it now before the Trump administration follows the proper steps to terminate DACA.
